    What’s Your Vegas Like?

Las Vegas is famous for its casinos and on-the-spot weddings, but the Entertainment Capital of the World has something just as fun for every travel style. Next time you think about visiting Vegas, add something more you to the adventure and make it the experience of a lifetime.

    Thrills on Thrills

Just being in Vegas is already exciting enough but if you need more thrills, then make sure you try some of these heart-stopping activities while you’re there. At Stratosphere, you can take advantage of four rides atop Las Vegas’ highest hotel—more than 800 feet in the air. At the Richard Petty Driving Experience, you can feed your inner speed demon from behind the wheel of a 600-horsepower NASCAR vehicle as you compete at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. If you want to multi-task, get an incomparable view of the city while traveling 33mph on the VooDoo Zip Line.

    Shop ‘til You Drop

Some of us love to shop when we travel. As expected, there are many places in Las Vegas where you can spend the money you just won. Get fancy at the Grand Canal Shoppes, an upscale shopping and dining complex set against a Venice-inspired backdrop. Container Park is good place to stop for a glass of wine and explore the new collection of start-up retail shops housed in repurposed shipping containers. If you weren’t so lucky at the casinos, you can still get great deals at the Las Vegas Premium Outlets!

    Stay Healthy

A healthy lifestyle doesn’t have to be paused just because you’re on vacation. The Stay Well Suite at the MGM Grand feature vitamin C-infused shower water and air purification. Vegan offerings at Simply Pure will impress any foodie, and you can always take part in one of the many exercise classes in the city (like yoga with dolphins at The Mirage). If you’re up for something more intense, rent a car and escape to the hiking trails at Red Rock Canyon.

    Keep It Old School

Las Vegas as we know it has only been around since the ‘50s, meaning history buffs can still experience some of the strip’s original sites. For example: you can book a stay at the Golden Nugget, which was originally built in 1946 and is one of the oldest hotel-casinos in the city (don’t worry, they recently renovated). And if you want a guided tour of sin city’s colorful past, you can visit the two-acre Neon Museum and see more than 150 of Las Vegas’ retired neon signs.

All of this and more is waiting for your future vacation to Las Vegas.

This is where culture meets creativity. In the lively center of the Hawaiian Islands, luxury and leisure, excitement and adventure can all be found in just the right proportion to suit you. Oahu is famous for iconic Waikiki Beach, Pearl Harbor and the surfing mecca on the North Shore, but there’s much more to this storied destination. From festivals that celebrate Hawaiian culture to major events at the pinnacle of sports and entertainment, there’s always something to do. Even disappear, into the lush tropical beauty that abounds from mountain to ocean. Island of Hawaii

Take a road trip on the youngest and largest of the Hawaiian Islands. Nearly twice as big as all of the other Hawaiian Islands combined, its sheer size and diversity are awe-inspiring. You can see some of the most pivotal sites in Native Hawaiian history and visit an active volcano, all while traveling through all but four of the world’s different climate zones. From the crystal blue waters of Kona and Kohala Coast to the black sands of Punaluu to the lush botanical gardens and waterfalls of the Hamakua Heritage corridor. There is so much more to see and do on this rich, storied island that invites exploration–and adventure. #LetHawaiiHappen

    Maui

Maui is where larger-than-life experiences meet small town charm. This is the best of both worlds, offering a unique blend of sophistication and simplicity. Taste the fresh bounty produced year-round by the farms and lush gardens surrounding the quaint communities of Upcountry Maui. Wind down your day at the exclusive Haleakala National Park to witness an epic sunset from the top of the world. Or simply lounge pool-side at a luxurious resort, from Kapalua to Wailea. From friendly folks to picturesque landscapes, there’s no end to the unique welcome you’ll find on Maui. #LetHawaiiHappen

    Molokai

Natural and rustic, Molokai remains true to its island roots. Where visitors can experience old-style Hawaii and feel the Hawaiian culture and aloha spirit permeate from the central town of Kaunakakai to the rugged wilderness on a guided trek through revered Halawa Valley. Explore the glorious North Shore Pali Coast to see the tallest sea cliffs in the world and take in some of the islands’ most remarkable views. Or discover Papohaku Beach, one of Hawaii’s largest white sand beaches. Here, it’s all about savoring the simple things in life. #LetHawaiiHappen

    Lanai

Embrace serenity on the island where not one single traffic light can be found. Where luxury and privacy are a way of life. As the smallest inhabited island, Lanai offers an escape from it all. Indulge in world- class amenities and championship golf, or spend the morning exploring local shops in Lanai City. Delve into the historic paniolo cowboy culture, take in stunning canyon views of Maunalei Gulch or capture unforgettable sunsets at the iconic Puu Pehe. From land to sea, the unexpected awaits you on Lanai. #LetHawaiiHappen

    Kauai

“Rejuvenating” is a word often used to describe Kauai and its immersive natural beauty. The raw energy of the soaring cliffs along the emerald Napali Coast. The expansive vistas of the Waimea Canyon. And the soothing ripples of the Wailua River winding through forest. The northernmost and greenest of the Hawaiian Islands is a place to put down your phone and forget about your worries. Breathe deep. Unwind. And rediscover a special connection to nature on this beautiful, tropical island. #LetHawaiiHappen

  • Tips to Bring the Beach Home

    5/11/2020 5:03:31 PM Link 0 comments | Add comment

Vacations may have been pushed back, but that shouldn’t stop you from enjoying the beach right now. We’ve found four ways for you to get tropical at home without the sand and surf. Your house might not be the same as an all-inclusive resort, but don’t let that stop you from having a little fun during this unknown season.

    1. Get crafty in the kitchen

Whether you were craving piña coladas on the beach or desperately wanted authentic tacos in Mexico, don’t get down on yourself. Those things might seem like they’re solely reserved for the beach, but who says you can’t whip them up in your own kitchen? Make use of all your bar supplies and become your own personal bartender. From mojitos to margaritas, there are plenty of delicious cocktails you can enjoy from the comfort of your own home.

    Rum Punch
    Ingredients:
    2 cups orange juice
    2 cups pineapple juice
    1/2 cup lime juice
    1/2 cup dark rum
    1 cup grenadine
    1/2 cup coconut rum
    1/2 cup light rum

    Instructions:
Pour all the ingredients in a pitcher, stir and serve. Easy!

    2. Channel your creative side

Time to get crafty! As you might be dreaming of white sands and crystal-clear waters, you can spice up your own with beach-inspired crafts. You might not be picking up your own seashells, but you can always make a seashell wind-chime to feel like you’re in a beachy oasis in your front yard. Or, channel your inner Van Gogh and paint a beach scene. The options are endless!

    3. Keep your beach bod in tip top shape

25 Minute Beach Bodyweight Workout--No Equipment needed!

The beach was calling and you answered by hitting the gym every day. Maybe you were even looking forward to joining the sunrise yoga sessions your resort offered. Whatever the case may be, don’t let having to stay at home stop you from enjoying a good workout. Get a yoga mat or pair of weights and turn your living room into your home gym. No one said your beach bod has to suffer because your vacation has been put on hold for a little bit.

    4. Make a beachy playlist or two

Really, this should be the first thing you do because a good playlist always comes in handy. It can inspire you to make the best margarita of your life, relax you as you work on your arts and crafts, or push you into doing that extra set of crunches. Or maybe you just need something to remind you of your last beach vacation. No matter what vacation mood you’re in, there is a playlist waiting to be made. (Or you can find a pre-made one if you want to be a beach bum about it.)

The beach might be out of reach, but these simple things to do at home will make it seem like you’re almost there. Soon enough, there will be sunny days ahead.
