Marquis Los Cabos
Honeymooning in Los Cabos is a popular choice for couples from all over the world. With sumptuous resorts, year-long sunshine, tasty Mexican food and a wide range of activities to engage with, who wouldn’t dream of spending their first few weeks of marriage in this Baja Sur California paradise?
However, as Los Cabos is home to over 70 resorts, it can be overwhelming choosing where to stay. To make sure you pick the right resort for you and your partner, here are some of the best resorts for honeymooning and their attributes to narrow down your decision.
Marquis Los Cabos
This resort has three major drawcards for honeymooners. The first is that it is an all-inclusive resort, meaning after the initial payment, everything is taken care of from pool snacks to sit down dinners and all the margaritas you could dream of. The second is that it is an adults-only resort so you can say goodbye to the screaming children splashing you by the pool.
Honeymooning should be about relaxing, and these two things combined will ensure you stay stress-free. The third drawcard is that it is only a 15-minute drive to the wonderful, historic town of San Jose del Cabo where you can find art galleries, great restaurants and bars and cultural events such as the Art Walk.
Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal
In 2019 Waldorf Astoria landed in Los Cabos, the luxury brand’s first property in all of Mexico. The resort has been and is continuing to go through some refurbishments making it quite the exclusive experience for guests who get to experience the property first. New and improved interior design is just a start. Down by the water you and your partner will find the Champagne Terrace where you can indulge in some tastings and pairings before dining at El Farallon, one of Cabo’s most talked-about restaurants.
The Cape, a Thompson Hotel
If you and your significant other are all about sharing a drink over a beautiful view at sunset, The Cape is your spot. Known to have one of the best views in all of Los Cabos, The Cape’s rooftop bar is the perfect spot to end your adventure-filled days. With a hand-crafted cocktail in hand and the view of pink and orange in the sky, these will be the moments you’ll remember most about your honeymoon.
ME Cabo
For couples who have travelled to Los Cabos to celebrate their new marriage by dancing until the sun comes up, ME Cabo will be an apt place to stay. Its upbeat Mediterranean inspired beach club, Blue Marlin Ibiza, will get you pumped up for the night and then you’re only a 10-minute walk to downtown Cabo San Lucas where there is a wide range of bars, restaurants and nightclubs. Another plus? The resort is situated on one of few swimmable beaches in Los Cabos where you’ll get a great view of the famous Arch.
Chileno Bay Resort & Residences, Auberge Resorts Collection
There is no shame in wanting to spend your entire honeymoon getting pampered and that is exactly what you can do at Chileno Bay’s spa. Known for being one of the best and most original spas in Los Cabos, this is where you can dive deep into plunge pools, reduce wedding stress in the Himalayan salt room, get massages and facials whenever you’d like, and learn about cultural Baja healing traditions. When your pampering session is done, Chileno Bay offers fine dining at Comal and a pool leading to a swimmable beach.

Deciding where to honeymoon is one of the first big decisions married couples make together — and the options can sometimes feel endless. Thankfully, Virtuoso, a luxury travel agency network, recently released its annual Luxe Report, which surveys 2,200 travel advisors across the globe to identify emerging travel trends. In its analysis this year, it named the top five honeymoon destinations for 2025: Italy, Greece, Bali, French Polynesia, and the Maldives.
The 2025 Virtuoso Luxe Report once again taps into the collective knowledge of Virtuoso's industry-leading travel agency members and their teams of professional travel advisors across 58 countries to determine what's now and next for in-the-know travelers," the company said in a press release obtained by Travel + Leisure. "Findings show a yearning for transformative experiences, fueled by an adventurous spirit and a desire to forge deeper connections with family, friends, and new surroundings."
While travelers plan and embark on their honeymoons, they will likely be influenced by some of the top travel trends identified by Virtuoso. These include the "Born to be Mild" trend, which blurs the lines between adventure and wellness. (Think outdoor-focused activities followed by relaxing in luxury hotels.)
Then there's the "You Tell Me Travel" trend, where people book trips to off-the-beaten destinations after being inspired by documentaries, books, films, and even TikTok. Finally, honeymooners may take part in the "Palate and Place" trend — globetrotters have always been enticed by a destination's cuisine, but advisors are seeing more interest in authentically experiencing local culture through visiting one-of-a-kind eateries and markets.
There are, however, other strong contenders for first-time getaways for married couples that the company didn't necessarily classify as "honeymoon destinations," but are charming nonetheless. According to Virtuoso, Portugal is the No. 1 pick for its "Destinations on the Rise" list, after coming in fourth place last year. "Well-known for providing great value, its appeal has broadened thanks to its mild climate, flavorful cuisine, and stunning scenery, particularly in the Azores," Virtuoso noted.
And, of course, there's always Paris, which held its first-place spot as the top city travelers want to visit overall — because what's not to love about the City of Love?
But, regardless if they are planning a romantic getaway or not, Virtuoso predicted travelers will continue to "prioritize exploration and personalized experiences" throughout 2025, only now, they are also focused on "maximizing value without compromising quality." The findings also noted that half of Virtuoso advisors surveyed anticipate a slight rise in travel demand for 2025, with 20 percent reporting they expect a "significant increase." In other words, travelers are still looking for extraordinary experiences — but they are also interested in deals.
